Black/ Green PTFE/ FPM +EPDM Rubber Valve Seat for Butterfly Valve Seat

PTFE + EPDM compounded rubber valve seats produced by SML are widely used in textile, power station, petrochemical, heating and refrigeration, pharmaceutical, shipbuilding, metallurgy, light industry, environmental protection and other fields.
Product performance: high temperature resistance, good acid and alkali resistance and oil resistance; with good rebound resilience, sturdy and durable without leaking.

PTFE+EPDM

The Teflon (PTFE) liner overlays EPDM which is bonded to a rigid phenolic ring on the outside seat perimeter. The PTFE extends over the seat faces and outsides flange seal diameter, completely covering the EPDM elastomer layer of the seat, which provides the resilience for sealing valve stems and the closed disc.

Temperature range: -10°C to 150°C.

Virgin PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene)

PTFE (Teflon) is a fluorocarbon based polymer and typically is the most chemically resistant of all plastics, while retaining excellent thermal and electrical insulation properties. PTFE also has a low coefficient of friction so it is ideal for many low torque applications.

This material is non-contaminating and accepted by the FDA for food applications. Although the mechanical properties of PTFE is low, comparing to other engineered plastics, its properties remain useful over a wide temperature range.

Temperature range: -38°C to +230°C.

Our keystone butterfly valve sealing rings are crafted from a superior blend of PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) and EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) materials, ensuring unmatched durability and resistance to a wide array of challenging media, including water, oil, gas, base oils, and acids. This unique compound leverages the exceptional chemical resistance of PTFE, combined with the resilience and elasticity of EPDM, to create a sealing solution that ensures a tight, leak-proof seal across a broad range of temperatures and pressures. Designed to fit seamlessly with wafer type centerline soft sealing butterfly valves, including pneumatic wafer butterfly valves, our seals are compatible with a wide range of valve sizes – from DN50 to DN600. Moreover, these sealing rings cater to a multitude of applications, from high-temperature conditions in power stations and petrochemical plants to the demanding environments found in the pharmaceutical, shipbuilding, metallurgy, and environmental protection industries, among others. The versatility of our keystone butterfly valve sealing rings, combined with their robust construction and reliability, makes them an indispensable component in any setting that demands uncompromising sealing performance.
